ZONE WISE PUNJAB
The state of Punjab is divided into four geographical regions, namely the Majha, Doaba, Malwa, and Puadh regions. Majha is the region between the rivers Ravi and Beas. The Doaba region is between Beas and Sutlej. Malwa lies below the river Sutlej and extends till the Yamuna river.
MAJHA ZONE

The districts of Amritsar, Gurdaspur, and Tarn Taran are in the Majha region of the Indian state of Punjab:
Gurdaspur
Located at the foothills of the Himalayas, this district is bordered by Pakistan’s Narowal District and the districts of Amritsar, Pathankot, Kapurthala, and Hoshiarpur. The Beas and Ravi rivers pass through the district.
Tarn Taran
This district is well connected to the rest of Punjab and the country by national highways, including National Highway 54, National Highway 354, National Highway 703B, and National Highway 703AA.
Amritsar
This city is part of the Majha region.
The Majha region is located between the Beas and Ravi rivers in the central parts of the historical Punjab region. It extends from the right bank of the Beas River to the north, and reaches as far north as the Jhelum River.
